Flowers everywhere!

Just had to take a moment and capture the flower making that had been going on over here.  I've never had so many made at one time.  I'm getting faster.  I love working on custom orders.  The pillows are looking great.  When I finish the order I'll post a picture.  It's been raining here.  Can't wait for the sun to shine!

Shop Update

I carved out some time to update my shop.  I'm still working on a big order.....but the shop was looking a little empty.   I love filling it up with new things.  I've included a new larger pillow and a new print on the original size burlap pillows.  Hope you are having a great Monday.  We will be outdoors as much as possible.  It looking like it's going to be a beautiful day!!

I'm still here!

I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth!   I've just been swamped.  A good kind of swamped though!  My shop is taking off after some extremely hard work.  I'm soo happy!  I just wish I could clone myself!  Summer vacation is almost here.  Can it be true?!  I have a feeling my sewing machine will be seeing me a lot these hot summer nights.  Hope I can carve out a little time for a posts here and there.  I really miss you all.  Thanks for sticking around!

Thrifty Goodness

One of the things that makes me happy is finding thrifty goodness.  This past weekend, my favorite place to find odds and ends opened.  Last year, I got the chair that I take all my etsy pictures on there.  Of course, I had to paint and cover the seat, but at the price of only one dollar it was well worth it.  This trip was just as good.  I told myself that this summer I wanted to be on the look out for old picture frames.  Luckily for me, outside the door on the ground were these marked for FREE!  I have plans for them that I'll share another day.  I first need to paint the room that they are going in.  My mom spotted the canister and picked that up for me for only 75 cents!  I walked away with a big bag of clothes and all my treasures for $8.

Childhood Treasures

This "Childhood Treasures" series has brought back many memories.  It started out with a few items I had in various rooms.  Now, I have had to look a little harder.  Bags in the back of closets and bins in the basement.  I got this clown from a family friend.  When the nose is turned it plays "Brahms Lullaby".  Yes, it does look a little scary.  Scary and cute at the same time!  Gotta love it!
